What I Do...

I use color, design, contrast of light and shadow, to produce a picture. But what is it that will make this image of value to me? When I become sufficiently involved with my subject to forget myself, it can happen that the feeling of the moment, sun, air, light, even smell, sneaks in and becomes part of the canvas. To express a particular measure of time with any tool at hand, to really see what is before me, to capture that elusive something that makes art come alive, is my aim.

Printmaking gives me a chance to expand on this, to let an image evolve. Meaning and surface expand, content becomes multifaceted.

This is what I do, my challenge and joy, my passion.
